

Corel is excited to grow our presence in Mauritius and is currently recruiting approximately 200 new team members to be hired locally. Speaking at the event, Prashant Ketkar, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Corel, stated, “ We chose Mauritius to grow our business after an extensive search to find a new location for our Centre of Excellence that was well aligned with our product-led growth strategy. On that note, to start engaging with the future generation and young tech enthusiasts in Mauritius, Corel and Polytechnics Mauritius hosted an event at the Polytechnics’ Reduit campus on May 30, 2022, where students had the opportunity to meet some of Corel’s core team members visiting from Canada and the USA. Additionally, Corel is aware that the Government of Mauritius has invested heavily in world-class infrastructure and the local labour market is impressive. Corel chose Mauritius as the home for its centre of excellence because of its favourable business environment and policies, exceptional resources, universities, and many other beneficial factors. To kick off the recruitment phase and to encourage and motivate final-year tech students to apply for internships and jobs, Corel introduced the company to students at Polytechnics Mauritius, Reduit campus on May 30, 2022.Ĭorel is a world leader in professional creativity and productivity solutions and is setting up operations in Mauritius as its first footprint in Africa. Corel is set to recruit approximately 200 Mauritians for Customer Support, R&D, and Operations roles as it prepares to launch its operations in Nexsky, Ebene, in July 2022.
